Well, nobody hit the reserve minimum on these orphans on eBay. I couldn’t let them go for less than this price – the value of these beads at regular prices has to be at least $1000, perhaps even more, if they were all sold separately. This is a really sweet deal. I decided to list them on Etsy, so here they are for the first taker. Come get ’em 🙂
Well, I’ve cleaned out my bead box once again, and the result is another massive lot of wonderful orphan beads. There are 280 beads including some sterling silver lined pandora style beads, a whole whack of lentils, crytals, frit rounds, discs, big hole beads, focals, pendants, spacers, encased rounds… all the details are on the auction page.

I’m in a good mood this Friday morning!
So I thought I’d share some love and offer 20% off in my Etsy store! That’s on ALL items – use coupon code ITSTHEWEEKEND at checkout. Good until Sunday night. Enjoy 🙂
In addition, I am offering some of my made to order designs on eBay. I haven’t sold on eBay in a while so I do not have much of a following there currently, but I thought it couldn’t hurt to branch out more! The designs are auctioning at a discounted price to help me build my reputation on eBay once again, so feel free to take advantage!
Frit sold by Val Cox. “A rich aquamarine transparent which is quite vibrant and simple to work with either on the surface or within an encased bead. Pairs wonderfully with the violets and pink tones.”

I have been experimenting with Val Cox’s “River Dance” frit this week. What a beautiful blend of blues! These beads are available to order in the Two Glassy Ladies store, and most of them will also be available in my Etsy store as well. All orders placed through the Two Glassy Ladies store will include a free surprise gift – promotion ending this Sunday!
This frit is sold by Val Cox. “This is a beautiful blend of aqua-toned shades, both opaque and transparent. When combined with silver foil, the effect is quite nice. The opaques push the silver aside while the transparent floats above.”

It’s just amazing to me how fast these little guys pile up.
273 beads (if my count can be trusted), including tons of lentils, crystals, rounds, and spacers. A few discs and big hole beads too. These beads are all perfectly sound structurally, they are properly annealed, and the holes are carefully cleaned with a dremel – just like all of my beads. These guys are either extras, or colour experiments, or have slight imperfections in shape or colour that resulted in them not making it into a set. There is so much potential here for creating fantastic jewelry! These orphans are just waiting for a happy home.
I have opened a new section in my Etsy shop for items on sale, and marked down a bunch of my bead sets that have been kicking around for a while now… some lovely beads too!
Here are a few… will be adding more in the near future also.
I decided to start a new tradition this year – cleaning out my bead box of orphans after Christmas. I had over 250 beads in there if you can believe it! These are orphans that were colour experiments, or have slight imperfections in shape or colour that made them not quite make the cut for my sets. They are perfectly sound beads structurally, properly annealed and cleaned. Some of them are fugly, some are beautiful. They are all just waiting for a home and this is a really good deal! I have priced the beads so the spacers are .25 each (normally .50-$1.00) and all the other beads are $1 each (normally $3-5).
