Big Bright Bumpies

Big Bright Bumpies on Etsy

These beads used dark yellow (not really that dark), mango coral (came out kind of soft and peachy looking as far as corals go, very pretty), and one of the Moretti odds “Venetian Sunrise” which comes out to a really beautiful forest green. They are quite chunky bumpy beads in one of my favorite styles of stacked bumps on bumps.

Black with periwinkle and light turquoise

Black, Aqua and Periwinkle Lentils

Swirling glass together is great. This ones have a black base, and I used light turquoise (a really lovely opaque aqua blue), and periwinkle (another great opaque in a really soft shade of purple). I leave the base hot while I add more colours so that they mix together somewhat. I use a bit of clear stringer plunged into the hot face of the glass to create the little “twist” part.

Back to “work”

I took a bit of a break from online selling over last summer, there were several reasons. I got married in August and there was a whole lot of planning leading up to that obviously! My mom and I were still active at our local craft shows, and we did a few shows over Christmas. Between work and school and all that, I just didn’t have time to sell my beads online.

Anyway I am now jumping back in to the online market, I think I am going to stick with Etsy. Today I listed a set that I made, very high contrast combo of black and brights which I enjoyed very much.
