It’s my week over at Amys in the arts, and my giveaway is a $20 gift certificate to my Etsy shop! If you want to enter, go on over to the Amys in the Arts Blog, read my great article, and follow the instructions for how to enter.
Also I forgot to post the final part of my Diva of the Month interview last week. It’s been kind of crazy with work and school, and I might be a little absent until the New Year. I am still here if you have any questions or wish to place a custom order with me, it’s just not likely I will be adding any new items to my shop or doing much active promoting over the next month.
Here is the conclusion to my Diva of the Month interview.
My mom and I are going to be vending at the Moss St Market Christmas show if you are local, and we are having an open house next weekend also – if you’re in town and want to stop by, feel free! Here is a link to our poster
First of all, it’s Week 3 of the Amys in the Arts “9 Weeks of Amy” holiday promotion. This week, the giveaway is two pairs of earrings by AliLilly. Pop on over to the Amys in the Arts blog to find out the details.
And, it’s also Part 3 of my Fire Divas Diva of the Month feature. This week is “Ten Silly Questions.”
Here are the first two parts in case you missed them:
Last week: “Ten Things Glass”
Two weeks ago: “Introduction“
I thought I would take the opportunity today to share some work from my fellow Fire Divas. These ladies are such an amazing group and I am honored to be a part of it! I will be hopefully making this a regular feature each week.

Part 2 of my Fire Divas interview is up – look for it here on the Fire Divas blog.
It has been a bit of a crazy week with work and school – it’s midterm time you see. However, I have been adding some new listings of Pandora beads all week, as I had a whole bunch lined up to go. Here are a few of the latest. I’ve been doing lots of pinks lately!
Pinky Winky (Pink and Periwinkle in this glass – I didn’t come up with the name)
The Fire Divas have been featured in the Handmade Spark Holiday Gift Guide – some of my beads are there too!
And, don’t forget to check out this week’s giveaway over at Amys in the Arts – it’s Week 2 of the Nine Weeks of Amy.
First of all, I wanted to share some info about a promotion that the Amys in the Arts Etsy team is doing. From now until Christmas, each week there will be a different giveaway promotion by one of our team members. My week isn’t for a little while, but stay tuned! This week, you can enter to win a set of handmade labels by Amyzo (aka, Handmade by Amy). For more details about the contest, check out the blog post over at the Amys in the Arts blog. Go Team Amy!
And, on the Fire Divas front, this month I am the Diva of the Month. I am the one who writes that particular column for the Fire Divas, so this month I got to interview myself. It was really fun actually! The first installment of the interview can be found here
The entries are now in for the Fire Divas Jewelry Challenge – come out and vote!.
Tomorrow is the last day for submissions to the Fire Divas Quarterly Jewelry challenge! There are some really great prizes and not that many people have entered, so you have a very good chance of winning a prize if you do enter something!
The only criteria is, your jewelry design must include lampwork beads made by one of the Fire Divas. Oh and the theme is “The Holiday Season” but that’s pretty open to interpretation really. I know lots of you out there are proud owners of beads I have made – so c’mon out and enter!
More information about the contest can be found here.
The Fire Divas are doing a promotion this October to help support breast cancer awareness, and I am participating. There is now a section in my Etsy shop called the “PINK” section – in it are all of my pink beads, and my goddess beads. I will be donating 25% of sale price of these beads, for the rest of this month, to the Susan Komen Foundation.
Here are some of my “Pink” items:

So Much Fun Lentils
These used CiM Phoenix, Moretti 266 Opal Yellow, and some of Val Cox’s “Enchanted” frit.
Gypsy Skirt on Dark Aqua
And these ones are a Moretti 036 Transparent Dark Aquamarine base, Vetrofond 955 Seashell Swirl Special Odd, and a coating of Val Cox’s “Gypsy Skirt” frit.
And, I have ordered a bead press from Jim Moore. This is a tool for lining large hole beads with silver (and other metals, although I expect I will mostly use silver), the Pandora bead style. So I will be offering up beads compatible with the Pandora/Troll/Biagi bracelet system in the near future. More on that soon!
Also, still a few weeks to enter the Fire Divas Quarterly Jewelry Challenge. The only requirement is, the jewelry you are submitting a photo of must have beads in it that were made by one of the Fire Divas. There are great prizes – so please submit your pics and participate in this great challenge!
The deadline for the Fire Divas Quarterly Jewelry Challenge is approaching. (Well, October 15th). The theme of this challenge is “The Holiday Season.” Last time, we didn’t get too many entries, I think almost everyone who entered ended up with a prize! So it is really worth your while to enter!! For more information, click this link. The main requirement for this challenge is, you have to enter a piece of jewelry that was made using beads created by a Fire Diva. So those of you who have already bought beads from me, great, you’re already all set to enter!
And if you don’t already own some of my beads… or beads from one of my fellow Divas… that’s OK because there is still time to go shopping! I don’t think there’s a single Diva in the group who doesn’t do amazing work. You are not only buying quality, one of a kind beads, but you are supporting an artisan, AND if you enter the challenge, you have a good chance to win some great gift certificates to the Divas’ shops! It’s really a pretty good deal!
(Don’t forget, I have some fantastic Halloween Beads for sale in *my* Etsy shop – and they would make some adorable Holiday Themed Jewelry – so feel free to start there)
