Seashell swirl is a light pinky/purpley glass that’s somewhere between transparent and opaque. It reacts around most frit, creating a bit of an outline around the frit. More reaction depending on the frit. I’ve tried a few different ones and gotten some neat results. It also seems to be somewhat reactive with silvered ivory (or at least, it makes a very nice base for it)

This set was made using Vetrofond 955 Seashell Swirl Special Odd as a base. I rolled them in Val Cox’s Wild Raspberry frit, and then used some stringer in CiM Black Currant to make some lines across the bead, and to make the raised dots on the surface.
This is Val Cox’s African Violet frit on seashell swirl. The more grapey transparent purple colour there is Creation is Messy’s Simply Berry.
These beads are a coral base, with seashell swirl, frit, and silvered ivory stringer overtop.
For the beads below, used heliotrope frit on it and encased with vetrofond clear for the big rounds. The little rounds are the seashell swirl all on its own. For the shells, I started with an effetre light purple base, covered it with the seashell swirl, and then some heliotrope frit. There is some colour separation that almost gives a mottled sort of look.

I used a lot of different glasses in this set. Let’s see… I started with a base of moretti/effetre light purple transparent. Then I did a layer of vetrofond odd seashell swirl. Then, a bit of CiM thai orchid and CiM simply berry overtop… followed by some CiM cirrus frit, and some silvered ivory stringer. Whew! The light coloured rounds have all the above except the CiM thai orchid and simply berry. The darker small rounds are just thai orchid.
