Coral & Seashells

Coral & Seashells Lentil Set

Coral base with seashell swirl, and a frit mix that I think is called Seashell. Also some silvered ivory stringer. These beads came out so pretty! I can see them paired with some coral beads or even real seashells to make a lovely necklace or bracelet.

Kronos

I made a smaller set with Kronos 2, one of Double Helix’s silver colours. It has a really neat sheen, it’s more of a blue-green toned metallic, so I paired it with some transluscents in the same colour. Interestingly, the raised dots reduced to a bit of red, while the flattened stuff didn’t.

Some new things

First, a few floral focals, sort of a new type of focal for me, these were fun to do and I think I will do more.

And two new listings on Etsy:

Vetrofond odd Jungle Twilight with dark ivory and light topaz.

Jellyfish success!

I changed my kiln schedule up a bit and my jellyfish beads are intact!

Also, here is a link to Mary Lockwood’s Jellyfish tutorial that I used for these beads and learned so much from. It is not a free tutorial but I would definitely say it was worth the money, as it has lots [...]

Emerald City – Etsy Listing

This set was made using Gaia and white. And a bit of transparent grass green. The Gaia is soo pretty, it’s hard to get in the photographs, but it really has the “rainbow-oil” effect when you look at it in the light. So shiny! These glasses from Double Helix are so expensive but so [...]

Olympia Rain Experiments

I was trying DH Olympia rain out on some of my other reactive glasses, because I still have one rod of it left. It looks really pretty on dark ivory, and quite nice on copper green as well. I did a set on dark ivory, and I plan to do a set on copper green [...]
