More boro beads. I found out today that the reds are best NOT flame struck since they strike at such a low temp, they end up striking in the kiln. So I think that’s why my American Beauty is going so dark.

Fernwood Art Stroll… and the day’s work

We set up in my back yard and I spent the day at the torch doing demos and stuff. Mostly I just worked away as normal and let people watch. It was pretty low key, I enjoyed it. We are doing the same tomorrow.

I used a lot of different glasses in this set. Let’s see… I started with a base of moretti/effetre light purple transparent. Then I did a layer of vetrofond odd seashell swirl. Then, a bit of CiM thai orchid and CiM simply berry overtop… followed by some CiM cirrus frit, and some silvered ivory [...]
