Appearing to be illuminated from within, this one pairs Gaffer’s Purple Rose with a blend of golden transparents. Destined to become a classic.
Painting by Camille Pissarro.
This is a truly amazing, and very unique blend of frit. The combination of mostly transparents with a bit of opaque makes for a really magical effect. It does some cool things when layered over opaque bases, but on transparents (even just plain clear) it is exceptional. It really does seem to be lit from within – so much depth and vibrancy. It encased beautifully and I didn’t have any issues with incompatability using 104 Lauscha clear to encase.
Here are my results:
And finally, here are my paddle tests of this blend. It doesn’t demonstrate the 104 palette in full by any means, but gives a pretty good idea of how the blend reacts with a variety of colours.
